Thought you would never see Gorden Tallis in a Blues’ jersey? Read on:

I gave more than 10 years of blood, sweat and pain to the Maroons. So am I embarrassed to be wearing this? You bet. But nothing is more embarrassing than knowing that my kids are growing up in a country where almost half of the women will be victims of physical or sexual abuse in their lifetime. So if wearing this makes Australian men realise how serious this issue is, you know, I don’t care how embarrassing it is.

Good on you Gordon,You are a real man.I have been a victim of domestic violence, along time ago,and in order for my children not to know I have kept quiet, but they are now in their 30,s and one of my sons is a father of 2 daughters.I am not keeping quiet anymore,as I do not want my grandchilden growing up in an environment that condones domestic and sexual violence.I am a very proud Queenslander, and I have seen you play with all your heart and soul for Queensland, and I am so proud that you are also doing the same for abused women, and your Mum and your Wife and your children must be so proud of you as well.Keep up the good work and Thank You,on behalf of abused women.P.S.I divorced the bastard who abused me 20yrs ago.Regards,Joyce
